- This device information is processed on your device. We do not upload it to our servers.
- There is no sign-up, no login and no account.
- The app shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect limited device and usage data as explained in Section 6.
- The QR Device Profile is created on your device and is shared only if you choose to copy or share it.
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Device Info Master (package name com.techi4u.device_info_master), published by Techi4u (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles information when you use the app on your Android device.
By installing and using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.
2. What the App Does With Your Device Information
The purpose of the app is to let you view technical details about your own phone or tablet. To do this, the app reads information that Android makes available to it, such as:
- Hardware: processor, GPU, RAM, chipset and display details
- System: Android version, kernel information and security patch level
- Battery: health, charging status and temperature
- Network: Wi-Fi and mobile data status, signal strength and IP address
- Sensors: the list and capabilities of the sensors on your device
- Storage: internal and external storage usage
- Apps: a list of installed apps with details such as size, so you can manage them
- Performance: CPU and memory usage, and benchmark results
This information is read and displayed locally on your device. We do not collect it, store it on our servers or sell it.
3. QR Device Profile
The app can convert your current device information into a structured profile (JSON format) and show it as a QR code with a copy option. This profile is generated on your device. It is not sent to us. It leaves your device only if you choose to copy it, show the QR code to someone or share it through another app. Please share it only with people you trust, because it contains technical details about your device.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect personal information on our own servers. In particular, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Your contacts, messages, call history, photos or files
- Your precise (GPS) location
- Payment or financial information
5. Permissions
To show certain details, Android may ask the app for permissions or give it access to system information, for example network and Wi-Fi state, battery status and, for some features, the list of installed apps. Depending on your Android version, viewing some Wi-Fi details may also require a location-related permission imposed by Android itself.
The app uses these permissions only to display information to you inside the app. You can review or revoke permissions at any time in your device Settings → Apps → Device Info Master → Permissions. Some features may stop working if you deny a permission.
6. Advertising & Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)
To keep the app free, we display advertisements using Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC. When ads are loaded or shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share the following types of data with Google for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention purposes:
| Data type | What it may include | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Device or other IDs | Android advertising ID and app set ID | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Approximate location | IP address, which may be used to estimate a general location | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| App interactions | App launches, taps and ad views or clicks | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Diagnostics | Performance information such as app launch time and stability | Analytics, fraud prevention |
This data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS). We do not receive your personal identity from this process and we do not sell your data. Google handles the data according to its own policies. You can learn more here:
Please note that the device details shown inside the app (Section 2) are not given to advertisers by us. Only the limited data listed in the table above is handled by the ad service.
7. Your Choices & Controls
- Reset or delete your advertising ID: go to your Android device Settings → Privacy (or Google) → Ads and choose to reset or delete your advertising ID.
- Opt out of personalized ads: in the same Ads settings you can opt out of ads personalization.
- Consent messages: where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the app may show a consent message so you can manage your ad choices.
- Permissions: you can revoke any permission in your device settings at any time.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. The only automatic sharing that occurs is the data exchange with Google through AdMob described in Section 6. Anything you copy or share from the app, such as a QR Device Profile, is shared only by your own action.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
Because we do not collect personal data on our own servers, we have no personal data of yours to delete. Settings and preferences stored by the app on your device (such as theme choice) can be removed at any time by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained and deleted according to Google’s policies; you can control it using the options in Section 7.
10. Children’s Privacy
This app is a general utility tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will help resolve the matter.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the app and your privacy. Since your device information is processed on your device and not stored on our servers, the risk to your privacy is minimal. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or services. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
